TRISTON aka 'DIRK', was bred by Maria Theresa Grotano who was talked out of keeping him herself so he could live with a family in Lodi on a Co-ownership. He had 3 MAJORS and only needed 2 points to finish his AKC Championship. The family who co - owned him reneaged on their agreement saying that they were distraught over the fact that he was away from them on the occasional weekends when he attended the dog shows with me and the professional handler and refused to comply with our agreement to allow him to finish his Championship. I spent over $7000.00 on entry fee, and even paying a very good 'professional handler' to get him finished quickly to accommodate them, to no avail!! Thus if you agree to co-own a dog with a breeder be advised that your dog will be away from you at times. Subsequently the males/females that we decide to keep live here with us at Bailebrae. |
